How a real connection would work
- 1. Sign in. You authorise the assistant from your own account, never the other way round.
- 2. Choose a book. Every connection is scoped to one book or workspace at a time.
- 3. Scoped permissions. Only the actions you switch on are available, nothing more.
- 4. Author-approved writes. Chapter drafts, interview answers and exports wait for your sign-off.
- 5. Audit log. Every request and action is recorded and visible to you.
- 6. No direct database access. The assistant only ever talks to a scoped API, never your data store.
